I started the HALLFOLK PODCAST BROADCAST in 2006...just because I could. Technology has advanced to the point where I can play radio without having to deal with the BUSINESS of radio, which always drove me kind of crazy. (I exacted a horrible revenge for this - I drove everybody around me crazy when I was doing it!)

I began this as a way of promoting my music, and I still like the idea, but I also discovered that I had really missed one aspect of my old radio life - the interview. I had some good ones, way back when, with folks like Bob Gibson and Chris Smither and the Clancy Brothers. But I found that my more recent friendsds, like Tony Baker and Charlie Robertson and Bob Franke and Don Oja-Dunaway and John Schindler....well you see what I mean? These are fascinating people, and over time I pursuaded them to let me interview them for the podcast. Soon the interviews became the focus for the podcast. And who was I to say no to that? Only the host.
